no books
a
The new job is brain-consuming and draining me dry. Ironically I do love the role, well, that’s could be it’s STILL something new and I usually like things when they are spanking-ly different.
a
I am missing my reading though and that's an important source of joy for me!!!
a
Seriously haven't got to touch my books much lately...unless you are counting the times that I read to Vera, her alphabet books - "C for Camels, Camels have humps"...

I need the library. period.
a

I wonder if any of you run into the same habit like me....We owned and kept buying new books, but never get to complete or even start on them and yet we still keep buying or continue to visit the library for more books. My mum commented that it is strange that I kept borrowing books when I didn't even get work on those that I owned.

I presume I just enjoy the fact that I was given a deadline to complete two or three books else I would be fined!

I have a childhood dream of owning a library like this (above). It's really a fantasy thing. All I wanted are the walls filled with books all right up to the ceiling and owned a ladder that brings me to the top. I would categorize the books by types, subjects, authors...etc. Yeah, definitely a reading chair in the middle! That really doesn't make much of a sense in Sg...since my apartment is tiny, plus really the ceiling is not that high!
a
Well...anyway, if you have a good book to recommend, drop me a comment!

Birthday again!

The guys did a good job serving us ladies on Sat evening. Colin whipped up a good dinner, with the help of Mik and Josh.

That's our head chef slicing the lamb...it melts in the mouth!

He even brought along his 'kitchen gadgets' to Cheryl's place! That's the super pepper mill that I got him for his birthday last year. It's battery-powered and has a built-in LED lights at the seasoning area that light up when it is grinding. Cool!

Look at the food! I enjoyed the roasted vege most of all...the pumpkin...the best!

a
And....we end the night by surprising Josh with his birthday cake!

Love this T-shirt...."Our Faith Shall Last".....Amen!
a
More cakes!
a
Josh had another round of cakes on Sunday afternoon. Our church friends were so sweet. Hup arranged for the little surprise to celebrate Josh's birthday. Since they couldn't decide what's his favourite...they bought all that's available. ha!
a
Seriously a dessert time!
